About the Intersect Community

We are a community of people whose lives have intersected with the life of Jesus, now we will never be the same. We understand that the message of Jesus is one of hope and reconciliation. We understand that it is the mission of Jesus to bring this Hope and to bring Light into the darkness. God wants to reconcile the world to Himself. This has happened through the death of the Son of God (Jesus) on a cross, and His resurrection. Sin has been paid for and forgiven through the death and resurrection of Jesus, and we tell everyone we know that there is good news – Our sins have been forgiven.

We accept this forgiveness through beginning a relationship with Jesus. We desire to learn everything that we can about Him, and through the Scriptures and prayer we begin to know Him in ways that are beyond the natural.

Because He was committed to loving and serving people, especially the underserved, the undeserving, the unloved, the disenfranchised, the widows, the orphans and the poor – We as a community are also committed to these causes.

The values of Christ in the Gospels include living a lifestyle of generosity, hospitality, faith, forgiveness, service, kindness and compassion – We as a community are also committed to these values.

We seek to live our lives missionally, realizing that at every intersection there are people who God wants us to connect with. So we, in a practical way, live these values out by sharing our lives with each other within the community, and resourcing to serve those who are still on the outside of our community. We meet with other like-minded believers to pray, read the Scriptures, hear teaching from the Scriptures, share a meal and communion with each other, and worship through music, art, meditation, generosity and repentance.
